Hacking home security systems for fun and profit
Abstract
A introductory overview of hardware hacking methods using the SimpliSafe DIY home security system, focusing on Radio Frequency (RF) hacking, and based on results of a spring 2021 EC521 class project. Topics include attack surfaces, PIC microcontroller dumping, Man-in-the-middle network attacks, sensor physics and RF Spoofing and jamming.
