Speaker/Bio

Max Timchenko is a masters student of Computer Engineering at Boston University ECE. His thesis proposes a system design for anonymous and privacy preserving submission of background data (device diagnostic information, usage statistics, etc.). He is interested in cybersecurity, practical cryptography, and peer-to-peer networks.

Abstract

This presentation will give a short overview of a number of the most interesting papers and the resulting potential research ideas from the first seven sessions, covering roughly the first half of the conference. We will also go into more detail on the award winning paper "A Messy State of the Union: Taming the Composite State Machines of TLS".
