Seminar Organization
Despite prevailing wisdom, this seminar
will be organized. We will discuss claimed organization on our first meeting, following the following, loose protocol:
- Mission
- Zoom etiquette
- There is no Zoom*.
- Talks will not be recorded.
- 105% of life is showing up (the other 35% is made up on the spot).
- Expectations
- All
- Join our mailing list by e-mailing Prof. Ari Trachtenberg.
- If you can't figure out his e-mail address, this is probably the wrong seminar for you.
- Students
- Agree, in principle, to give one talk during the summer on anything (legal, ethical, interesting, …) related to practical security.
- In principle, because if we run out of slots - you don't run out of luck.
- Eat free-to-you-food (modulo the proviso above).
- Faculty/staff
- Recommend papers (when asked?)
- Make insightful (or, at least, incomprehensible) comments
- Eat food
- Sign ups
- 20 or 40 minute sessions (++ questions)
- Brief introductions
- Potential sources for papers
- Recent research.
- Hacker conferences
- Academic conferences
