Security analysis of Voatz mobile voting

Abstract

Voatz is a mobile voting app that is currently being deployed in small election pilots in the U.S. In this talk, I describe Voatz' private blockchain-based protocol, present its threat model, and go through the results of some recent security audits to see how Voatz does (and does not) meet its desired security properties.
